We at Shop4Silver like Kit Heath jewellery more than just a little bit and we are steadily growing our collection of their designer jewellery ranges.  We started with Ethnic Oriental, Iced Gems, Organic and Romantic but we have recently added to the collection by having some Kit Heath Blue Haze, Colonial and Naturals.

Kit Heath is one of my favourite jewellery designers - he has some beautiful ranges of silver jewellery and this set is from the Kit Heath Colonial range which is relatively new and we’re adding more items from the range regularly.

The set comprises of silver bracelet, silver earrings and silver necklace and are, basically, open silver ovals.  The necklace and earrings “dangle” and are simple, elegant and extremely effective.

What does marquise mean?  Well…the definition says “An oval shape gemstone which tapers to a point at both ends, named for the Marquise de Pompadour, Mistress of King Louis XV” and we have taken poetic licence because the three items here have links that are “oval which tapers to a point at both ends” but they don’t have gemstones - they’re ordinary silver jewellery.

The marquise silver bracelet to the left is more or less 17cm long and 8mm wide with a weight of 14.3gms.  The silver earrings (below) are 35mm x 7mm and weigh 3.7 grams.  The silver pendant (without a silver chain - can be ordered seperately) is 39mm x 9mm and weighs around 4.5 grams.

These are all in the new Kit Heath Naturals range - we’ll be adding more in the next few days as they have some exciting pieces of silver jewellery in it.

So - I hope you forgive us the use of the word marquise - but I think these stunning pieces of marquise jewellery are worth the description.
