A little note about security

One question that is regularly asked about our silver shop is “how can I be sure that you are secure?” and I always try to reassure people - there’s a lot of horror stories about people who purchase something and then a week later find that their card has been used for dodgy dealings.  With us, you don’t have to worry because at no point during the online transaction do we keep a record of your credit card details.  When you click on the Confirm button, you are taken to a system called ProTX - they are completely seperate from us and it is their reputation that makes them completely secure - if they lose their reputation they will be out of business.  They take your credit card details and, using military level encryption, communicates with your bank to make sure that the transaction is valid.  If it’s OK, the purchase will be made and the transaction taken from your card. 

Again - we don’t have your credit card details!  Even if you emailed us and said that you wanted to increase your order and buy silver gifts, you’d have to place another order because we don’t have your details (I’m sorry for the inconvenience but we’d not charge extra postage if we put multiple orders together).  Even when an order is placed over the telephone, we don’t make a note of the number - it’s typed straight into the ProTX system for verification - there’s no bits of paper with credit card numbers floating around our office - no record at all.

So, all in all, you’re more secure than if you pay for a meal at a restaurant - your credit card details are safe with us.
